During the operation of the ropeway, wear occurs (both the stretching of the rope in relation to the entire length, and directly to the splice section itself) affecting the safety of operation and the normal technical part of the work.
Rope replacement, splicing and shortening is one of the integral elements of periodic and timely maintenance of ropeways.
Replacement, splicing and shortening (re-splicing) of the rope are carried out in accordance with the technical requirements and Federal Regulations and Rules of industrial safety of ropeways and funiculars.
These works should be carried out by a qualified specialist-splicer, trained to carry out work on splicing of steel ropes for human cargo purposes, who has a certificate of a splicer and uses a specialized tool in the process of working on the splicing.
