Rope control (flaw inspection) is carried out within the framework of the Federal Regulations and Rules (hereinafter referred to as FRR) in the field of industrial safety of ropeways and funiculars, in relation to the entire length of hauling, carrying-hauling, carrying ropes. With this control, local defects of the rope, deviations associated with the loss of the section, the state of the strands and wires of the entire rope and the splicing are revealed.
When replacing a rope (splice), shortening (re-splicing) flaw inspection measure must be carried out without fail, in accordance with the requirements of the FRR. It is also possible to carry out the rope flaw inspection at the wishes of the operating organization in cases of dubious nature associated with the condition of the rope and in case of undesirable mechanical effects on the rope. The rejection of the rope sections or the entire rope is carried out in accordance with the rejection criteria.
Control of grips (flaw inspection) of the carriers is carried out similarly within the framework of the FRR. At the same time, cracks of the surface nature of the grips and general wear of the grips are revealed.
In the future, the grips are being rejected.
